Ingredients

Onion

Garlic
garlic finely chopped.

Green chile
Serrano Pepper, medium diced into cubes

or to taste

Toor dhal
Yellow lentil/Toor dhal/Pigeon pea

Lemon
squeezed lemon juice
Cilantro
for garnish

Instructions
Put enough oil to coat the vessel
Sauté cumin seeds and onions in medium heat or lower. Don’t allow the oil/onion to stick to the bottom of the vessel.
When the onions are golden brown, add garlic, green pepper, and turmeric and continue to stir for a minute on the low heat.
Turn off the Instant Pot
Add four cups of water.
Add Lentil
Cook under pressure for 15 minutes.
Cool Naturally
Add Salt and Lemon juice
Add cilantrto (or parsley) as garnish
